After a long career in design Annie changed direction and gained a Diploma in Botanical Illustration from the English Gardening School at the Chelsea Physic Garden, London in 2002.

Exhibitions followed in the USA, Australia, UK and Europe and she contributes to Florilegia and public and private collections. These include the Hunt Institute for Botanical Documentation, the Highgrove Florilegium, the collection at the Royal Botanic Gardens Kew, the Sydney Royal Botanic Garden Florilegium, Hampton Court Palace Florilegium (Fellow and founder member), Chateau de Villandry and recently the Shirley Sherwood Collection.

Located in France since 2010, she continues to grow and collect unusual and interesting plants to paint.
