Yoko Harada started learning botanical painting with Elaine Searle in the UK in 2010.
In 2018 she graduated with distinction from the Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh (RBGE) Diploma Course in Botanical Illustration, at which time she also received the Top of Class award. She now studies under Mieko Ishikawa in Tokyo. Her work has been exhibited at the 2018 American Society of Botanical Artists (ASBA) Botanical Art Worldwide Exhibition in Tokyo and the RBGE 2020 Florilegium Exhibition in Edinburgh. In 2022 she was awarded a Gold Medal and the Best Botanical Artwork award at the Royal Horticultural Society (RHS) Botanical Art and Photography Show 2022 at the Saatchi Gallery in London.
