Jenny Pharaoh

South Africa

Born 1953

Jenny Pharaoh studied art through the Ruth Prowse school of art and the University of South Africa. She became involved in Botanical Art in 2008, after seeing the first touring Shirley Sherwood exhibition, which brought her love of the rich diversity of indigenous South Africa plants together with that of art.  She has done short courses with many South African and overseas artists and participated in several exhibitions including the Worldwide Exhibition. She is currently documenting the plants of the upper Breede River Valley, within a couple of hours of Cape Town.
