Veronica started painting at the age of 60 and was immediately intrigued by capturing the beauty of flowers, fruit and vegetables. Largely self-taught, she paints with watercolour on paper and vellum. She enjoys matching a subject to the imperfections on the surface of the vellum and goes to William Cowley in Newport Pagnall to select the more interesting skins. Veronica has had two exhibitions locally, one with Alexandra Williams and one to raise money for Evenley Wood Garden where she is Artist in Residence. She loves the challenge of commissions and has painted her own Christmas cards for twenty years which people enjoy collecting.
