Sibonelo Chiliza was born in 1979 in a rural area of Mthwalume in South Africa. Obtained a national diploma in Textile Design and Technology.  Is mentored by renowned botanical artist Gillian Condy. Has illustrated for different botanical publications. Has exhibited in three Kirstenbosch Biennales and won 3 medals. Exhibited at Botanical Art Worldwide 2018 (South Africa). The piece collected by Dr Shirley Sherwood is a splendid pencil study of the paint brush lily with particularly beautiful observation of the bulb and stem.
