Margaret lives in Hermanus in the Western Cape. She has a four-year diploma in Fine Art from Rhodes University (1960).
Fynbos is the dominant vegetation type of the minute Cape Floral Kingdom. Margaret paints fynbos specimens that she has collected in the mountains and coastal plains of the southern-most tip of Africa. Fascinated by the large genus of Cape Ericas, she has had considerable success with water colour paintings of more than 40 ericas as well as paintings of many other fynbos species.
