Flappy Lane-Fox

UK

Born 1947

Flappy Lane Fox was drawn to botanical art as a form of therapy following the death of her son in September 1999. Having never painted before, she found the self discipline required for botanical inspiration helpful. In 2001, she gained a Diploma in Botanical Illustration from the Chelsea Physic Garden, London. She has had a one-woman exhibition, some joint exhibitions and many commissions, including 8 paintings accepted for HRH The Prince of Wales Florilegium, for both Highgrove and Transylvania.
