Alice de Rezende
Alice de Rezende was born in Rio de Janeiro, in 1961. She was a graduate of the School of Fine Arts in Rio, specializing in Botanical illustration and taught by Malena Barretto. Masters Degree in Botany. Improvement in scientific illustration. Margaret Mee Artist Scholar in 2004 at RBG, Kew. Works published in Brazil and abroad, and selected works for exhibitions in Portugal, USA, Tokyo, London, Singapore and the Hunt Institute. Winner of the "Anne Ophelia Dowden Award" 2009, for illustrations of plants from Campina Amazônica. Currently teaching courses and working in the project "Cryptogamic diversity, biology and conservation on the South Atlantic Islands." .
