Carol Woodin has spent thirty years investigating color while painting plants in watercolor on vellum. Her work has been exhibited and collected around the world; recent venues include the Shirley Sherwood Gallery, Kew, UK, Museo della Grafica, Pisa, Italy, Museum de Buitenplaats, Eelde, Netherlands, and Newhouse Galleries in New York. Among the awards she’s received are an RHS Gold Medal, the ASBA Diane Bouchier Founder’s Award, and the Orchid Digest Medal of Honor. She is ASBA’s Director of Exhibitions and master minded the remarkable Worldwide Botanical Art Day in 2018, co-ordinating paintings of native plants from 25 countries.
