Kate Nessler


Born 1950

Kate Nessler is firmly grounded in the classical tradition of botanical art, yet within that time-honored tradition she finds new ways to see, to understand, and to portray nature. Her work has received three gold medals from the Royal Horticultural Society and the Award of Excellence from the American Society of Botanical Artists. Collections and exhibitions include: National Museum of Women in the Arts (Washington, DC); Hunt Institute for Botanical Documentation (Pittsburgh, PA); Jonathan Cooper (London); Shirley Sherwood Collection (London); the Royal Horticultural Society (London, Japan); the Highgrove and Transylvania florilegia (Prince of Wales Charitable Foundation).
