Coral Guest

Born 1955

Coral Guest’s work has redefined the traditional practice of the Observational Flower Painter. Pioneering techniques for the Botanical Art genre, she studied Fine Art at Chelsea College of Art (London University), receiving the Chelsea Drawing Prize and Travel Scholarship, thereafter training in large brush calligraphy at Seitai-ji Temple, Yamanashi, Japan. In 2018, Coral was commissioned to paint the 1000th painting for the Shirley Sherwood Collection. Her work is also held in the Fitzwilliam Museum, Cambridge and the RHS Lindley Library.
