Born in Hyogo, Japan in 1936. Started to study botanical painting in 1992-93. Paints outstanding paintings of Pinaceae trees. She won RHS Gold 2001, 2003, 2005, 2010, 2015 and "Best Exhibit in Show in 2010". Her works are in the collections of Shirley Sherwood, the RHS Lindley Library, Kew and the Hunt Institute. Her illustrations have been published in Curtis's Botanical Magazine; Endangered Plants of Japan, A Florilegium (2004); Drawings of Alien Plants of Japan: A Collection (2009); and in Endemic Plants of Japan (2021).
