Marion studied Architectural Drafting and worked in the area for several years, before working in New South Wales, where she noticed the grass and flowers, and began learning how to paint them. In 1987, she began illustrating books; Key Guides to Australian Wildflowers; Trees, Palms Ferns & Allies; Mammals and the Australian Flora. Marion currently works at the Royal Botanic Gardens, Sydney.
