To complement ‘Life in Death’ Dr. Sherwood curated a seasonal selection of beautiful contemporary botanical paintings from the Shirley Sherwood Collection. The works showcased the diversity and breadth of the collection with an emphasis on how artists have interpreted the many different and often amazing ways that seeds are dispersed. This exhibition featured paintings of plants from around the world, many of which were the culmination of months of observation, waiting for fruit to ripen so that every stage could be shown.
