Jeannetta van Raalte

Jeannetta is a native New Yorker who studied fine art and graphic design at The Cooper Union and New York University. After brief careers in advertising, book design and illustration, she became interested in textile design; she studied it at The Parsons School, and worked for many years as a textile designer in home furnishings, painting birds, flowers, paisleys and fanciful patterns. She has been painting botanical subjects since 2000, having been inspired by an exhibition of Dr. Sherwood’s collection.
