Elisabeth works in watercolour on paper and vellum, in a style that is detailed and botanically accurate. She specialises in painting crops, particularly fruit. She has illustrated 15 books, including “The Book of Apples”, “The Book of Pears” and “Collins Field Guide to Crops”. Her paintings have been selected for The Highgrove and Sydney Botanic Gardens Florilegiums, and have been widely exhibited in many collections and institutions worldwide. Elisabeth has been awarded seven Gold Medals by the Royal Horticultural Society. Her work has been featured on packaging, calendars, seed packets and porcelain. In 2014 she appeared on BBC Countryfile in a feature about her paintings of Pears from the National Collection. From 25th May 2019 her paintings of fruit will form a major Exhibition at Cannon Hall.
