Sylvia Peter studied painting at the Academy of Fine Arts Burg Giebichenstein, Halle, with Prof. Triebsch. Her works are held in the Shirley Sherwood Collection and in the Hunt Institute Collection. She is a member of the SFIB and the ASBA, for which she worked on the steering committee of the Botanical Art Worldwide exhibition. In 2009 Sylvia Peter founded the Gallery Forum Botanische Kunst, that shows works of distinguished botanical artists from Europe, the USA and Japan.
